educational initiatives
The New England Laborers’, under the guidance of LIUNA General Secretary-Treasurer Emeritus, Armand E. Sabitoni, and in conjunction with the New England Laborers’ Tri-Funds, have partnered with seven high schools throughout New England to implement and provide students with a Construction Craft Laborers’ program. The curriculum within the program provides students with an opportunity to experience first- hand what the construction industry has to offer and provide a potential gateway into our Laborers’ Apprenticeship Program. These initiatives have been instrumental in providing students with a framework to a career in construction that they may not have otherwise explored and a direct path into our Laborers’ Apprenticeship Program. Throughout the year NELPRM assists all of our programs with press events, promotional materials, photography/videography, coverage of events, and updating of all Regional materials to include all seven of our available programs. We are honored to continue our partnerships with the following high schools:
• New England Laborers’/Cranston Public Schools
